We love competitions! And what better competition than one with the spinning wheel game for household things in Shona.

The girls loved doing this video! You can tell how much we love a good guessing game even in this STEM video.

The challenge was very simple but it’s also a great way to get kids reading letters of the alphabet out. They loved spinning the wheel and taking it in turns to do so. Whatever letter the wheel landed on they had to guess some words of household things that begin with the letter they landed on.

We particularly like this one because it bridges the gap between learning words in conversation and through mimicking to actually having to guess what letters the words start with. It was especially fun to see the younger girls trying to say the words out. And the grownups got very involved too!
