Ngano ya Tsuro na Jongwe

ngano ya tsuro na jongwe

Today Gogo Alice is going to tell you the story of Rabbit and Cockerel

Tsuro na Jongwe

A Shona language story brought to you by Sarura Kids. Shona is a language spoken in Zimbabwe in Africa.
In Zimbabwe we love to tell stories, and often children would sit round the fireplace to listen to fantastic stories about animals that behaved very much like people, or strange places far away where everything was possible and comedy and tragedy were played out in vivid stories such as this one. Storytelling remains very much a part of our society and gatherings.

This story tells the tale of Rabbit and Cockerel and how Rabbit in his eagerness to do as he saw Cockerel doing nearly came very undone!
This story bears a strong warning to all who hear it.
Don’t rush to copy what other people are doing. You never know why they do what they do. You never really know what it is that they are doing. So be happy being yourself.
After all… you are already best qualified to be you.

Enjoy our fantastic little story with Gogo Alice today!
